ANNISTON — A Celebration of Life service for Leamon L. Adams, 82, will be announced later by Gray Brown-Service Mortuary. Mr. Adams died Monday at Stringfellow.
Survivors include his wife, Erma Adams; three daughters, Patricia Adams Yarbrough, of Guntersville, Wanda J. Ellen, of Panama City, Fla., Melanie R. Huston (Jerry Masaitis), of Pensacola, Fla.; four sons, Donald L. Adams, of Guntersville, Bobby K. Ellen and wife, Debra, of Anniston, James E. Reid and wife, Denise, of Columbus, Miss., and Robert Ellen, of Oxford; six granddaughters, Christina L. Adams, Ashley B. Adams, Allee C. Ellen, Josuah B. Reid, Kris Reeves, and Stevie D. Cranford; one grandson, Shannon Wayne Corbett; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Hazel Adams. Mr. Adams was a native of Clay County and a resident of Anniston, where he retired from Anniston Army Depot. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, in which he served in World War II. He was a member of New Haven Baptist Church.
