Funeral service for Lewis Wyatt, 79 will be 3 p.m. today in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Duncan officiating. Burial will follow in the Coldwater Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 2 p.m. until service time. Mr. Wyatt died Friday at his residence. Mr Wyatt is survived by his wife, Faye Wyatt; son, Guy Wyatt and his wife, Phyllis; grandson, Jonathan McCormick; granddaughter Whitney Strange (Jarred) and great-granddaughter, Bailey Grace; daughter, Libby Moore and her husband, Vic; grand-daughter, Brooke, grandson, Brad; daughter, Tara Stephens and her husband, Jay, grandsons, Jayson and Jackson; daughter, Kristie Nutt and her husband, David, granddaughter, Carly Smith (Kevin) and by one sister, Margie Gibbs (Dave); several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Cliff Heard, Jerry Moore, Artie Moore, Tim Hurtado, Bill Lipham and Kyle McCoy. Lewis was a Calhoun County native where he excelled in football at Alexandria High School, earning a scholarship to college. He was a Veteran of the Korean War
having served in the Army
Honor Guard. His business career included owning and operating Lewis Wyatt Auto Sales, opened the Anniston Efficiency Motel and developed the Choccolocco Subdivision. Mr. Wyatt was also instrumental in chartering Eureka Baptist Church. www.millerfuneralhomeoxford.com
