Luther "Wayne" Miller

Dallas, GA - Mr. Luther "Wayne" Miller, 64, of Dallas, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2013, at his residence. Wayne was born on October 18, 1948, in Jacksonville, Alabama to loving parents the late Mr. Allen Miller and Mrs. Lillaree Fair Miller. He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Mrs. Melissa Miller McIntyre; one niece, Mrs. Regina Pearson; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ann Ferguson and Miss Nellie Baggett. Wayne served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He later worked in Telecommunications for Interworld Communications. He is survived by one daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Joe (Chanda) Hillman, of Villa Rica, Ga.; one son-in-law, Mr. Ken McIntyre, of Gainesville; two brothers Mr. and Mrs. A.G. (Sandra) Baggett, of Jacksonville, and Mr. and Mrs. Allen (Jane) Miller Jr., of Gadsden; one brother-in-law, Mr. Richard Ferguson, of Heflin; seven grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Joshua (Cheyenne) McIntyre, of Dallas, Ga., Ms. Kristen McIntyre, of Gainesville, Ms. Brooke McIntyre, of Ohatchee, Ms. Breanna Hillman, Ms. Lawren Hillman, Ms. Kimberly Hillman, all of Villa Rica, Ga.; Ms. Skyler Allison, of Dallas, Ga., and Ms. Angela Ledford, both of Dallas; one great-granddaughter, Ms. Emma Grace Whitley; several nieces, nephews, and other beloved family and friends. A memorial service for Wayne Miller will be held at Jacksonville Congregational Holiness Church on Saturday, September 28, 2013, at 11 a.m. with the Reverend Robert Miller officiating.
