Marcus E. ""Mark"" Wilson

Funeral service for Marcus "Mark" E. Wilson, 61, of Talladega, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at New Hope Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 12 - 2 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow at Boykin Truitt Cemetery. Mr. Wilson is survived by his wife, Joan Thomaston Wilson; son, Matthew E. (Stephanie) Wilson; daughter, Marenda Wilson (Joe) Swaika; two brothers, Johnny "JL" Wilson and Carroll R. Wilson; sister, Addie Kemp; five grandchildren, Jacqueline "Jac" Wilson, Mickaela "Bug" Wilson, Nicholas "NickNick" Swaika, Alexander "AJ" Swaika and Marcus Swaika. Mr. Wilson was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Pell City. He was retired from Anniston Army Depot as a welder where he received the Commanders Award for Civilian Service. He served as a deacon, loved to sing and study his bible. He loved fishing and the outdoors. He was a member of Stemley Volunteer Fire Department for many years.
