Randy Burl "Hub" Hubbard

Talladega - Randy Burl Hubbard "Hub", 56 (April 10, 1957), passed away on December 26, 2013 after an extended illness. Randy grew up in Eastaboga, Alabama, and attended Eastaboga School and Talladega County High School in Lincoln, Alabama. Randy was preceded in death by his parents Woodrow "W.W." and Rose Ella Hubbard; his sister, Sherry Alward; and brother, Calvin Hubbard. Randy was a proud U. S. Army veteran and oh the stories he could tell! He also worked as a truck driver, mechanic and Talladega City employee over the course of his career. Randy is survived by brothers, Woodrow E. "Woody" Hubbard and Glenn C. Hubbard; sisters, Annie Ruth Gauldin, Pearl H. Johnson, Carolyn "Carol" Williams (Henry), Joyce Vaughn (Cecil), Patricia "Pat" Nixon, Ronda Lacey (George); and numerous nieces and nephews. The family is thankful in knowing that Randy was a Christian and found peace knowing the Lord and studying the Bible. The family also wishes to thank his friends and countless medical personnel that treated Randy during his illness. Randy will be remembered in a private family memorial service. In Randy's memory the family asks that you "thank a veteran" for their service or "extend a hand" to a veteran in need. Talladega Funeral Home will direct the services.
