Raymond David Johnson Sr.

Funeral service for Raymond David Johnson Sr., 71, will be Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the 1st Baptist Church of White Plains with the Rev. Eric Snider and Wayne Wells officiating. Burial will follow at Harmony Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 12 p.m. until service time. Mr. Johnson passed away May 11, 2014 in Anniston. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Violet Johnson, of Choccolocco; his son, Raymond David Johnson Jr. (Kim), of Choccolocco; two grandchildren, Dawson Ray Johnson and Molly Kate Johnson and a cousin, Don Johnson (Sandra), of Choccolocco. Mr. Johnson is preceded in death by his mother, Clara Johnson. Pallbearers will be Wallace Brimer, Steve Brimer, Andy Barnett, David Haynes, Bruce Franklin and Deke Foy. Honorary pallbearers will be his front porch buddies, Charles Howell, Wayne Wells, Tommy Clay, Wayne Edwards, Shane Champion, Skip Hicks, Jim Raughton and Larry Hollingsworth. Mr. Johnson was a lifelong resident of Choccolocco. He retired from Lee Brass and was a member of 1st Baptist Church of White Plains. He was an avid Alabama Fan.
