Reubin Wilson Kemp

Funeral services for Reubin Wilson Kemp, 71, will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Anniston Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Earl Tucker officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Mr. Kemp died Thursday. Survivors include sons, Billy Maxwell, John Kemp and Freddy Kemp, all of Anniston; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Mindrel Dyar Turner and Lovella Kemp Gardner; brother-in-law, sisters-in-law, Shirley Thomaston Buttram, Gladis Kemp, Isabella Kemp and Sylvia Thomaston; brother-in-law, Sam Thomaston and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Carolyn Lenora Thomaston Kemp; parents, John Wesley Kemp and Mary Jane Elizabeth McDougal Kemp; brothers, James B. Kemp, John Albert Kemp and Noel J. Dyar; sisters, Mary F. Kemp Upchurch, Imogene E. Kemp Haddock, Lola Mae Kemp and U. A. Dyar. Mr. Kemp served four years in the United States Army, was retired from the Anniston Army Depot and owner K & R Furniture Store for 20 years.
