Mrs. Wanda Faye (Hall ) Thrift

Chapel funeral services honoring the life of Mrs. Wanda Faye Hall Thrift, 64, of Gadsden, who passed away March 2, 2010, will be 12:30 Friday at Collier-Butler Chapel. The Rev. Anthony Gilbreath and Dr. David Chandler will officiate with burial to follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing. Mrs. Thrift retired from Gaston High School. She was a Christian and attended services at North Gadsden Baptist Church. Her hobbies included scrapbooking, card making, and playing bridge with her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewitt and Lavada Hall. Mrs. Thrift is leaving behind to cherish her memory her husband of 43 years, Garry Thrift; daughter, Yvette (Wes) Davis; son, Brandon (Stacy) Thrift; three grandchildren, Cassie Davis, Callie and Dalton Payne; sister, Sandra Turner; nieces, Beth Gilbreath, Anita Gutteridge; nephew, Mark Thrift; and many friends. The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Lawley Premier Hospice or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. The family wishes to express special thanks to her Monday Card Group and Kathy Brothers.
