Mrs. Agatha Wilson Davis, daughter of the late Annie B. and Walker Wilson, was born on February 14, 1931 in Piedmont, Alabama. She departed life on September 29, 2013. She was preceded in death by her husband James Davis; two sisters, Hallie Marshall and Arlene Crook, and a brother, Willie J. Wilson. Agatha served over 20 years in the United States Army. She was a proud member of the Women's Army Corps and retired as an E-8 Master Sergeant on August 31, 1974, the same day as her husband James. After retirement, she worked as a realtor and volunteered as a substitute school teacher. She was an avid bowler and enjoyed golfing with family and friends. As a faithful member of Ames United Methodist Church, she served as a member and one of the past presidents of the United Methodist women. Agatha made many friends throughout her life and was known for her loving personality and infectious smile. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Brenda Cassell (Eamon), of Virginia Beach, Va.; a brother, Bishop Ernest Wilson (Vernice), of Sydney, Ohio; grandchildren, Madeleine, Erica and Mark James; numerous nieces, nephews and family members. She will be deeply missed but joyfully remembered. She will be interred on October 12, 2013 at 2 p.m. in Bennettsville, S.C.
