Anniston - Funeral Mass for Charles "Chuck" Milo McGrew, 60, of Anniston, will be held on Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Anniston, with Father Bob Sullivan and Father Bryan Lowe officiating. Mr. McGrew died on Sunday at Cleburne County Nursing Home. Chuck attended Escambia County ARC, Early Intervention, Petree School, Craftshop and Workshop. He was a member of the Special Olympics teams for bowling and swimming in Pensacola, Fla. and was a member of the Special Steppers, a square dance team in Pensacola. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. Chuck is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Milton McGrew Sr. and Cecile Mary Kuester McGrew and a brother, Dr. Richard Milton McGrew. He is survived by a sister, Judy McGrew Beam and husband, Dr. Tom, of Anniston; a nephew, Ryan Beam, of Anniston; two nieces, Angie Beam Cheatwood and husband, Clint, and Lori Beam Meeks and husband, Joseph, both of Anniston; an aunt, Nell Frey and husband, Dr. Bill, of Pensacola, Fla.; an uncle, M.T. Kuester and wife, Dot, of Birmingham; five great-nephews, Drennen Beam, Layton Cheatwood, Bryson Cheatwood, Brayden White, and Cayden Hawthorne; two great-nieces, Keaten Beam and Paisley Meeks; and numerous nieces and nephews of the McGrew family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ARC Gateway (3932 N. 10th Avenue, Pensacola, FL 32503). Online condolences may be made to the McGrew family at K.L.
