Oxford - Funeral services for Clarence W. Cox, 83, of Oxford, will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 30, 2013, in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home and Crematory with Pastor's Ray Garner and Michael Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the Forestlawn Memorial Gardens in Anniston. The family will receive friends from 6-8 tonight at Miller Funeral Home. Mr. Cox died Sunday at Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Venice Garner Cox; son, Pastor Michael Cox and his wife, Sharon; daughters, Jorene Harrell and her husband, Kenneth, Vickie Angel and her husband, Keith; grandchildren, Bradley Cox, Ashley Cox Robinson and her husband, Chad, Emiley Cox, Marcus Harrell, Brock Harrell, and Alyssa Angel and by one sister, Lucille Otwell and her husband, Noel. Pallbearers will be Bradley Cox, Marcus Harrell, Brock Harrell, Chad Robinson, Wallace Roulain, and Doug Camp. Mr. Cox was a native of Cleburne County, and a resident of Oxford most of his life. He was a veteran of the Korean War where he served in the Army. Mr Cox retired from the Anniston Army Depot after 39 years of service and he also owned and operated Clarence Cox Used Cars for many years. He was a member of Cornerstone Worship Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. and Sallie Cox; and by his sisters, Reba Gaines and Nina Cleveland. Miller Funeral Home
