Anniston - A celebration service for Eddie Holsombeck will be today at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home and Crematory with Donnie Sills officiating. The family will be receiving friends from 1-3 p.m. today. Eddie went to be with his Heavenly Father Saturday at UAB. He is survived by his wife, Sandy Holsombeck; son, Shawn Holsombeck and his wife, Leigh; three brothers, Kenneth Holsombeck and his wife, Joann; Thomas Reese and his wife, Linda; Mark Lower and his wife, Debbie; three grandchildren, Jagger Holsombeck, Mary Ella Holsombeck, Dawson Bass; his mother, Lola Bloodworth and his stepfather, Steve. Eddie was a native of LaGrange, Ga., and a resident of Calhoun County for the past 11 years. He had a career in the automobile industry for the past 33 years in Anniston and surrounding areas. He served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was an avid golfer, a huge football fan and loved to spend time with his grandchildren and family. After the service Eddie will be cremated. In lieu of flowers the family request that you consider registering with the DMV as an organ donor.
