Funeral service for Mr. Frank Augustus Boullemet, 90, will be 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2014, at Oxford First United Methodist Church, 216 Snow Street, Oxford with the Reverend Chuck Worley and the Reverend Benjamin Little officiating. A private interment will follow. The family will receive friends from noon until the service hour at the church. Mr. Boullemet passed away on January 26, 2014. Mr. Boullemet had been a member of Oxford First United Methodist Church, where he had the distinction of being the oldest member. He was also a member of the Martha Brooks Sunday School Class. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force in the 493rd Bomb Group and was a veteran of World War II. He was retired from Oxford Construction Company which he owned and operated 24 years. He was also a Boy Scout troopmaster for Troop II in Anniston for several years. Mr. Boullement was also a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, 8th Air Force Historical Society, the Oxford Lion's Club and had been a director of the Alabama Sight Foundation. He served several years on the Oxford City Council, was appointed to the Calhoun Board of Equalization and served on the Calhoun County Republican Executive Committee. There was no greater advocate for Oxford than Frank Boullemet. Mr. Boullemet is preceded in death by his parents, Marseille Boullemet Sr. and Mayme Clark Boullemet and a brother, Marseille "Boully" Boullemet Jr. Mr. Boullemet is survived by his wife, Vera Powell "Bobbie" Boullemet; his sons, Andy Boullemet and his wife, Donya, Jim Boullemet and his wife, Regina, and Stephen Boullemet and his wife, Teresa; a sister, Michele Duval; six grandchildren; 10 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Oxford First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 3261, Oxford, AL 35203 or to the Eight Air Force Historical Society, Alabama Chapter, 1902 Blackjack road, Trussville, AL 35172.
