A Memorial Mass for Mr. Allen Joseph Chenard Sr., 64, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church with Father Bryan Lowe officiating. Inurnment will follow at the church columbarium. The family will receive friends on Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Mr. Chenard passed away on Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Northeast Alabama Regional Medical Center. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda Chenard; sons, Allen J. Chenard Jr. and Scott (Carrie) Chenard; daughters, Rebecca Chenard and Anne Tillman (Teddy); grandchildren, Allen Chenard III, Thomas Chenard, Destiny Chenard, Carlee Chenard, Aubrie Chenard, David Chenard, Anastasia Chenard, Lauren Colasacco, Cameron Chenard, Abigayle Tillman, and Alex Tillman; a sister, Elaine Lupoletti, and brothers, Richard Chenard and Brian Chenard. Mr. Chenard is preceded in death by his parents, Alexander and Eileen Chenard. Mr. Chenard was a proud veteran of the United States Army with 22 years of service. He was an instructor for the Chemical Corps at Fort McClellan. He loved spending time with all of his grandchildren and often told his grandson, Cameron, that he would be the first governor of Mars. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend who will be deeply missed.
