A Celebration of life for Althea Gravette McComb, 60, will be Thursday, August 25, 2016, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. Dr. C.O. Grinstead and Rev. Jerry Johnston will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Mrs. McComb passed away on Monday at Regional Medical Center. Survivors include her husband, Charles D. "Chuck" McComb; daughter, Selena Butler (Ken); step-son, Chris McComb; step-daughter, Scarlett Sells; sister, Jean Smith (Lee); special aunt, Meta Stephens (Lindsey); grandchildren, Tyler Butler, Haley Butler, Haiden Sells, Madison Price, Rylan Hill and Jaxon Sells. Pallbearers will be Tyler Butler, Ricky McComb, Benny McComb, Terry Rickson, Shawn McComb and B J McComb. Mrs. McComb was a resident of Oxford and was employed at Anniston Army Depot. Mrs. McComb was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis and Agnes Skinner Gravette, and a brother, Marty Gravette. She attended Trinity Baptist Church for many years. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her grand kids.
