Funeral services for Ananise Zimmerman Sr. will be on Monday, August 13, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Smith Metropolitan AME Zion Church with the Rev. Jeffrey C. Williams officiating. Burial will be in Eden Hills Cemetery. Mr. Zimmerman will arrive at the church one hour prior to his services. Anniston Funeral Services in charge. A wake will be tonight 6-8 p.m. at the Chapel. Mr. Zimmerman has worked at Blue Mountain Linen Thread Company, Union Foundry and retired from M & H Value. Survivors include his children, Rugenia Zimmerman, Anna (Fred) Stoudemire, Stephanie (Chris) Heard, Ananise (Jocelyn) Zimmerman Jr. and Ekal (Ruth) Cain; grandchildren, Subrena Zimmerman, Fredrick Stoudemire III, Jayson Zimmerman, Jeana Zimmerman, Lynne (Timothy) Robinson, LaDarius Cain, Xavier Pace and Mhiyauna Heard; 14 great-grandchildren; siblings, Annie Jane Caldwell, Annie Ruth Deaduyler, Bernice Hubbert, Booker T. Zimmerman, Mary Lou Cooper and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Margaret Zimmerman, wife, Doris Mae Smith Zimmerman; son, Roosevelt Zimmerman; siblings, Carrie Mae Cain, Pashient L Simmons, Mildred Mandley, Harris Zimmerman, Thomas Zimmerman and Roosevelt Zimmerman.
