Mrs. Anna Lee Field went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 1, 2017, at Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be June 6, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Covenant, 75 Lenlock Lane, Anniston. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Anna Lee was born in Birmingham on July 2, 1934 to H.S. and Wilma Egan. She attended Woodlawn High School where she graduated with honors in 1952. She attended the University of Alabama and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the university in 1957. While at the university she met her husband to be, Bob Field, at the Presbyterian Student Center. They were married in Birmingham on September 4, 1955 at East Lake Presbyterian Church. Anna Lee was a charter member of Church of the Covenant in the Lenlock area of Anniston. She served as an elder and choir member at the church. Anna Lee was a member of the Variosa Club in Alexandria as well as a member of the Alexandria Civitan Club. She is survived by her husband, Robert M. (Bob) Field; three children, Tara Lee Field, Charles E. Field (Donna) and Becky Warren (Greg); four grandchildren, Samantha Mitchell, Luke Field, Dalton Warren and Dustin Warren; two great-grandchildren, Silas Field and Natalie Mitchell; brother, H.S. "Buddy" Egan (Martha); friend, Judy Austin; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, H.S. and Wilma Egan, and a sister, Martha Frances Dorrance. Anna Lee was an avid artist and gardener. She was a loving mother, wife, and magnificent cook. She spent most of her adult life nurturing her family. She was known for her sweet disposition, calm manner, and kind heart. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff at NHC Health Center and Regional Medical Center.
