Mrs. Annie Rob Hubbard Ford, 73, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika. Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30, 2014, at 2 p.m. (EST) at the Happy Valley Baptist Church in Lanett with the Rev. John Samanie and the Rev. Rusty Letson officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Lanett. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. (EST) at the Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home in Valley. Mrs. Ford is survived by her four children, Richard Shane (Frances) Ford, of Pendergrass, Ga., Tommy (Gail Smith) Ford, of Marietta, Ga., Leigh Ann Colley, of Lanett and Amanda Rob (Bradley) Frye, of Lexington, S.C.; six grandchildren, Thomas Daniel Ford, Maggie Susanne Ford, Jeremy Wayne Colley, Jonathan Lee Colley, Benjamin Parker Frye and Bruen Preslee Frye; brother, Eugene Hubbard; sisters, Nancy Lasitter and Diane Burnham; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Ford was born on November 8, 1940 in Anniston. She was a long time resident of Lanett, living in the community for 49 years. She was a very active member of Happy Valley Baptist Church. She loved the hobby of ceramics and had an amazing talent for it. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time in the Tennessee mountains and had a world class collection of Santa Clauses. Johnson Brown-Service Funeral Home of Valley is handling arrangements.
