Service for Mrs. Annie Ruth Jones Hall will be Saturday, June 4, 2016 at 11 a.m. at First United Presbyterian Church with the Reverend Hugh Morris officiating. Entombment will be held on Sunday, June 5, 2016 at 3 p.m. at the Memory Hill Gardens in Tuscaloosa. Public viewing will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church. The Anniston Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta will hold Omega, Omega Services for Mrs. Hall this evening at 6 p.m. at First United Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to First United Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Hall was born in Prattville to the parentage of Mr. and Mrs. James Madison Jones. She was the youngest of seven children. In 1954, she married Dr. Japheth Hall Jr., a mathematics professor at Stillman College in Tuscaloosa. This union was blessed with one daughter, Kathryn Carmel Hall of Athens, Georgia. She received her Batchelor's of Science in Mathematics and her Master's of Education. She was a member of Brown Memorial Presbyterian Church in Tuscaloosa, where she was elected and ordained as an Elder and served on the Session. After moving to Anniston, she united with the First United Presbyterian Church, where she served on the Session, as Chairperson of Finance, President of the Presbyterian Women, Chairperson of Worship and Commissioner to the Presbytery. She also volunteered at VITA - Income Tax Volunteer (Tuscaloosa and Anniston), East Alabama Regional Medical Center as a Pink Lady, Meals on Wheels, Calhoun County Health Department and Cobb Elementary School. She was a member of the Alabama and National Education Associations, the Retired Teachers Association and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. She leaves to cherish her loving memories, Kathryn, William (Hattie), Valda (Warren), Bill (Jackie), Elaine, Nikki, Chris, Jakata, Vivian (Terry), Erin (Kerry), Joseph (Val), Johnny (Ellie), Angela, Christopher (Roslyn), Brandon (Nicole, Edward (Anita), Rosalyn and their children and grandchildren; close and caring in-laws, Regina, Queen, Donna, Wynnette, Danny (Tina) and Nellie, plus many dear friends.
