Archie Olin Whitmore, 90, died Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Ranburne. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, 2017, at Dryden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Micheal White officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Survivors include, daughters, Maxine Rice, of Ranburne, Angie(Tony) Estes, of Ranburne; daughter-in-law, Glenda Whitmore, of Ranburne; grandchildren, Todd Whitmore, Stephanie Herren, Shannon Herring, Lee Estes, Lorie Bowling, David Estes; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruby Roberts, Flora Harper; brothers, Ralph Whitmore, Horace Whitmore, Wendell Whitmore, Ray "Bennie" Whitmore. Pallbearers will be Todd Whitmore, Lee Estes, David Estes, Steve Harper, Mike Harper, Larry Roberts, Gary Roberts, and Lee Barber. Mr. Whitmore was a lifelong resident of Cleburne County. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II. Mr. Whitmore retired from Lee Brass Foundary after 45 years of service. He was preceded in death by his wife, Henrietta Whitmore; sons, Junior and Robert Whitmore, and brothers, Lee and Thurman Whitmore.
