Funeral service for Mrs. Audrey M. Turner, 73, of Anniston will be held Mon., Jan. 8 @ 1 PM at Friendship Baptist Church with Rev. Carlton Phillips, Pastor and Rev. E. Baxter Morris, eulogist. Inhumation will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Public viewing will be held Sun., Jan. 7 from 1 - 7 PM at Ervin Funeral Chapel - Anniston. Survivors include her son, Louie Turner, III of Atmore; her daughter, Alicia D. Turner of Anniston; 12 grandchildren; her sister, Thomasa Zeigler of Detroit, MI; her brother, Cornelius Gund of Detroit, MI; and her step-mother, Alice Ames of Detroit, MI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louie Turner, Jr., a daughter, Crystal Lynn Turner, her parents, Maxine Zeigler and Robert Lee Ames, brother, Emmett Zeigler, and in-laws, Louie, Sr. & Pearl L. Turner. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church for almost 50 years, where she had been a member of the Sarah Denard Matrons, the Mass Choir, and attended Sunday School. She retired in 2014 from TCRC connected with DHR and previously worked as a teacher, assistant director, and director of Constantine Daycare Center until it closed in 1995. She was President of Turner Funeral Chapel LLC. In Lieu of floral arrangements, the Family is requesting contributions be made to the in Remembrance of Audrey M. Turner.
