Memorial services for Audrey Rogers Farrell, 87, of Anniston, will be Monday, July 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the Acker Chapel at First United Methodist Church of Anniston with the Rev. Pete Hawker officiating. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. at the church. Mrs. Farrell passed away Friday, July 12, 2013, at NHC. A native of Randolph County, Alabama, Mrs. Farrell taught school in Alabama at Ohatchee, Weaver, Saks, Piedmont and Lineville. She also taught in Cartersville, Georgia. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and was also a member of First United Methodist Church of Anniston. Mrs. Farrell is preceded in death by her husband, Coach William J. "Bill" Farrell and by her parents, Earl and Ara Rogers. Mrs. Farrell was a devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed. Survivors include her son, William J. "Jim" Farrell Jr. and his wife, Melinda, of Anniston; grandchildren, Leigh Twigg and her husband, Barry, of Alexandria, and William J. "Tripp" Farrell III and his wife, Jennifer, of White Plains; great-grandchildren, Lainey Twigg, Marshall Twigg, Hayes Farrell and Luke Farrell. The Farrell family would like to extend a special thank you to Mary Waldrep, Nellie Fears and the employees at NHC for the loving care shown to Mrs. Farrell.
