A funeral mass for Barbara Ann Miller Voelkerding, 73, will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2015, at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Golden Springs with the Reverend James R. Macey officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at the Church. Mrs. Voelkerding passed away on August 30, 2015, at Golden Living Center in Oxford. She had been ill been for several years. Mrs. Voelkerding was born in Lake City, Iowa and had resided in Anniston since 2002. She was an active member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. Mrs. Voelkerding is preceded in death by her husband, Maynard O. Voelkerding; her parents, Floyd C. and Sadie Schmit Miller, and her daughter-in-law, Donna Leria. She is survived by her daughters, Kelli Chandler and husband, Basil, of San Antonio, Texas, Kris Voelkerding, of Worcester, Mass., and Wendi Voelkerding, of Fayetteville, Ark.; a son, William Voelkerding and his wife, Jennifer Flowers Voelkerding, of LaVergne, Tenn.; granddaughters, Beth Ann Chandler and Autumn Rose Chandler, both of San Antonio, Texas; her sisters, Shirley Miller Burd of Rockwell City, Iowa, Sharon Miller Gerdes and husband, Terrance, of Anoka, Minn., and Diane Miller Wiltgen of Mason City, Minn.; her brothers, Charles Miller of Rockwell City, Iowa and Steven Miller of Grimes, Iowa; and a brother-in-law, John Voelkerding and wife, Beth, of Hollywood, Florida.
