Funeral service for Beatrice F. McMath, 84, will be on Saturday, September 5, 2015, at noon at the Greater Thankful Baptist Church where the Rev. Byron Jackson, pastor and the Rev. Dr. P.Q. English officiating. Interment will follow in Eden Hills Cemetery. Mrs. McMath passed away on September 1, 2015. Mrs. McMath's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. Mrs. McMath was a member of Greater Thankful and was a Deaconess, Sunday School Teacher, Founder of the Male Chorus, Established Circle No. 1, member of the Usher Board and Matrons. Survivors include her children, Sophia (Nelson Sr.) Christian, Cathy (Ronnie) Patterson, Henry (Janice) McMath, Gregory (Marguetta) McMath and Timothy McMath, all of Anniston; siblings, Elizabeth Martin and Calvin (Tania) Freeman, all of Anniston; sister in-law, Bernice Freeman, of Ga.; grandchildren, Kimberly (Jeffery), Montrez, Niger, Nelson Jr. (Monique), Titkeya, Telida, Korsha (Ernest), Jacquella, Courtney (Angela), Keiuna (LaVonte) and Christopher; 16 great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey and Pearlie Freeman; husband, George L. "Butterbean" McMath; son, Anthony Earl McMath; siblings, James, Wilson, Ruth, Horace, Annie, Harvey and Mary.
