A home going service for Mrs. Beatrice Mullins Hale, 89, will be on Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 2 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church in Oxford with Pastor Michael Cox officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home. Mrs. Hale passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2017. She is survived by her children, Elaine Horn (Gary), Joan Butler (Dennis), Denise Grisdale (Greg); daughter-in-law, Linda Hale; sister, Leona Sellers; grandchildren, Danielle Hood (Eric), Corey Horn (Suzanne), Toni White (Mark), Jodi Allen, Peter Allen (Stephne); great-grandchildren, Dustin Pearson, Logan Prater, Hope White, Megan Horn, Reagan Harrington, Davis Donovan, Ace Allen, Cameron Grisdale; brother-in-law, Clifton Hale; sisters-in-law, Ezma Lee, Reba Hale, and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Jimmie Mullins; husband, of 45 years, Joseph 'Jody' Hale; son, Eddie Hale; great- grandchildren, Lucas and Ryan White, and three sisters, Ines Feazell, Faris Lankford, Marilyn Brown. Pallbearers will be Corey Horn, Dustin Pearson, Logan Prater, Peter Allen, Ricky Hale, Ronnie Ellison, and Mark White. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Family and Friends Adult Day Care of Oxford, Dr. Michael Hanna, Alacare Hospice nurses and staff, and to the caregivers, Tamera, Whitney, and Kristen. Mrs. Hale retired from Anniston Army Depot after 20 years of service. She was also employed at Fort McClellan and worked as a seamstress at American Heritage Casket Company. She was an amazing seamstress, beautiful paint artist, and had a green thumb and loved to use it in her garden. Mrs. Hale was very active and outgoing and would help anyone who needed it. She loved her church, her family and her community and was a friend to everyone she came in contact with. She will be deeply missed by all who had the great pleasure of knowing her.
