A celebration of life for Mr. Bennie Wayne Perdue, age 77 of Anniston, will be 4 PM Thursday September 14, 2017 at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center with the Reverends Ken Phillips, Truman Norred and Bill Caudle officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Mr. Perdue went to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 9, 2017. He was a longtime member of Westside Baptist Church and retired from the US Army after 23 years of honorable service. He went on to work at the Anniston Army Depot and retired from there after working for an additional 23 years. Mr. Perdue always had a smile on his face and an encouraging word to share. His love for Jesus radiated in everything he said and did and he looked for every opportunity to share the love of Christ with everyone he met. He was truly an awesome husband, best daddy ever, and a wonderful paw paw. He will always be remembered for being "fantastic" and "better than he deserved." Mr. Perdue is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mrs. Hazel June Perdue of Anniston; daughter, Cindy Garmon (Phillip) of Anniston; daughter, Jennifer Brannon (Greg) of Jacksonville; son, Mike Perdue of Anniston; grandchildren, Andy and Atleigh Brannon of Jacksonville; sisters, Charlotte Perry (Richard), Sharron Kelley, Shannon Oliver, and Mickey Kilcrease; numerous nieces and nephews; and his well loved Chihuahua, Lucky. Mr. Perdue is preceded in death by his parents, Henry Olen and Cornelia Perdue; and brothers, Rex, Joe, Tony, Warren and Infant Bobby Perdue.
