Funeral service for Mr. Bernard Sarrell Couch, 65, will be held on Monday, August 28, 2017 at 12 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Jerry Turner, officiating and burial to follow at Wellington Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Couch passed on Friday, August 25, 2017 at his home. Mr. Couch is survived by his wife, Deneace Couch; daughter, Kelley Couch; sons, Chris Couch; sisters, Jean (Billy) Gamel, Sandra (Denney) Hartzog, Vanessa (Billy Jean) Brimer, and Pam (Larry) Whitman; granddaughter, Sarah Couch, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Randy Sloan, Roderick Harden, Danny Bentley, Joey Stewart, Bill Thomas, and Johnny Harden. Mr. Couch is preceded in death by his father, Carl Bernard Couch; mother, Mary Ista Couch; brother, James Riley, and son, Tommy Couch. Mr. Couch was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. He was an avid antique car enthusiast and loved restoring old cars, watching NASCAR, and Street Outlaws. Condolences may be left at chapelhillfh.com
