Funeral service for Bertha Mae Lauderdale, 82, will be on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Carlton L. Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Home Church Cemetery in Goodwater. Mrs. Lauderdale remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. Mrs. Lauderdale passed away on April 19, 2014 at Regional Medical Center. A wake will be this evening 6 - 8 p.m. at the chapel. Survivors include her children, Gwendolyn (Billy) Young, Benita Owens, Janice (Freddie) Lauderdale, all of Anniston, James (Melissa) Lauderdale, of Atlanta, Ga.; siblings, Willie Clyde Davenport, Frank Paul (Dorothy) Davenport, all of Ashland, Charles D. (Pasty) Davenport, Jeanette D. Craig, all of N.C., Leonard E. Davenport, Annie L. Lawyer, both of Lineville, Vera Kimble, of Anniston; eleven grandchildren, twenty-six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lon and Ada Mackey; husband, Willie James Lauderdale; siblings, Roy Davenport, Authur Davenport, Ruth Akles, Merdis M.
