Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Jane Daugherty, 84, will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with the Rev. Roland Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1 until service time at the funeral home. Betty passed away Sunday, December 4, 2016 in Anniston. Survivors include her daughter, Teresa Poor (Steven); sons, Chuck Daugherty (Joy), Greg (Rusty) Daugherty; brother, Jimmy L. Martin Jr. (Margaret); grandchildren, Justin E. Overton (Spenser)Martin W. Daugherty; nieces, Donna May (Tom) and Linda Allsup. Mrs. Daugherty is preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Daugherty; mother, Vera C. Martin and her father Jim L. Martin Sr. Pallbearers will be Chuck Daugherty, Greg Daugherty, Steven Poor, Randy Hopkins, Martin Daugherty, Jack Allsup. Honorary pallbearer will be Tom May. Betty Jane Daugherty was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County. She graduated Anniston High School. She was member of the Salvation Army and played in the band and a member of the Eastern Star Worthy Matron (Elizabeth Spearman 81), and a member of White Shrine.
