The funeral service for Mrs. Betty Jean Williams Cole, 82, will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with the Reverend Gary McCurdy officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30 until 2 p.m. Mrs. Cole passed away April 17, 2016 in Birmingham. Mrs. Cole was a member of First Baptist Church of Weaver and had retired after 32 years from the Jacksonville branch of AmSouth Bank. She loved The University of Alabama football, Atlanta Braves baseball, and painting. She was a loving mother and grandmother who spent the majority of her life raising her family. Mrs. Cole is preceded in death by her husband, Jack Cole; a son, Jay Cole; and her parents, Catherine and Russell Williams. She is survived by her daughters, Vanessa Bradstreet and her husband, Ron, of Hoover, and Robin Broussard, of Oxford; a son, Shelby Cole, of Weaver; a brother, Robert Williams, of Weaver; a sister, Linda Starr, of Florida; and grandchildren, Chase Bradstreet, of Houston, Texas, Michelle Broussard, of Oxford, and Lauren Lee Cole, of Weaver.
