Funeral service for Betty Joyce Jacobs, 80, will be on Tuesday, November 17, 2015, at noon at the Kelly Springs Missionary Baptist Church where the Rev. L.L. Jacobs is pastor, with the Rev. Dennis McKinney officiating. Interment will follow in Kelly Springs Church Cemetery. Ms. Jacobs passed away on November 11, 2015. Ms. Jacobs's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. Ms. Jacobs was a member of the 16th and Noble Church of Christ. She retired from Ft. McClellan with Palmatta Enterprise. Survivors include her children, Willie R. (Stephanie) Jacobs, Cynthia D. Jacobs and the Rev. Christopher Jacobs; stepmother, Mary F. Jacobs; siblings, Ruth A. Curry, Tina Orr, Ollie M. Jacobs, Sandra (Fred) Crittenden, Essie Marshal, Cassandra Jacobs, Anitra (Rev. Willie) Howard, Nita Brock, the Rev. Dr. Leonard L. (Emma) Jacobs, Eugene (Renee) Jacobs, Anthony (Marvie) Jacobs and Tony Jacobs; grandchildren, Dr. Raynia (Ellis) McGee, Kenyida (Yolanda) Bowie, Shannon D. (f) Jacobs, Christopher Jr. (Tiffany) Jacobs, the Rev. Richard (Khady) Jacobs, Ollie (Reginald) Jacobs, Jamal (Shakala) Jacobs and Ja'Niya Blake; 20 great-grandchildren; aunt, Virginia Parker; extended family, the Dorseys, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Ollie Jacobs; siblings, Bobby Jesse, Bill Jacobs, Samuel Jacobs and Donald Jacobs; great-grandson, Je'mauri Devon Bowie.
