Funeral service for Betty L Wheatcraft, 81, will be Monday, November 6, 2017, 2 p.m. at Harvest Church of God. The Rev. W.H. Ford will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 6-8 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home. Mrs. Wheatcraft passed away on Friday at her residence. Survivors include her husband, Dorman Wheatcraft; daughter, Sheila Roberts; sons, Gerald Cotton, Randy Cotton (Donna), Richard Cotton (Dana); brother, James Heath (Judy); 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Quinton Cotton, Timothy Cotton, Tyler Roberts, Taylor Snider, Trey Cotton and Phil Heath. Mrs. Wheatcraft was preceded in death by her mom, Dorothy Heath; father, J.T. Heath; son, Rickey Cotton; grandson, Brandon Cotton; sisters, Joyce Leggett, Bobie Griffin, Edna Smith; brothers, Joe Heath, Robert Heath, and her first husband, Melvin Cotton. Betty was a long time member of Harvest Church of God. Betty and Dorman also did Jail Ministry for many years, Nursing Home Ministry at Golden Springs Nursing Home and Jacksonville Nursing Home. One of Betty's favorite things to do was sew, she would go buy a dress and if it did not fit she would make it fit. She also enjoyed going to gospel singings .
