Mrs. Betty Sue Everett, 88, passed away on November 10, 2017 at NHC in Anniston. The family will hold a private service at a later date. Mrs. Everett had been a member of Parker Memorial Baptist Church for many years and taught the same Sunday School class for over 30 years. She was a member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority at The University of Georgia, where she received her degree in education, and looked forward to attending each of their annual meetings. She also volunteered as a Pink Lady at NE Alabama Regional Medical Center for many years. Mrs. Everett enjoyed hosting and entertaining family and friends for holiday parties and will be remembered for her cooking and using her gifts of hospitality and generosity. Mrs. Everett loved her family and will be missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Bagwell. Mrs. Everett is survived by her husband of 65 years, Charles R. Everett; three sons, Mike (Becky) Everett, Mark (Bridget) Everett, and Matt (Kristi) Everett; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Sally (Don) Higgins; a sister-in-law, Lucy Bagwell, and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks from the family to longtime caregivers, Tomasina Pyles and Marty Ouchley, also Jennifer Salster, Hospice nurse. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Salvation Army ( or to the Children's or Music Ministries at Parker Memorial Baptist Church, 1205 Quintard Ave, Anniston, AL 36201.
