Funeral service for Mr. "Bill" Henry W. Phillips, age 65, of the Folsom Community, will be today, Sunday, February 16, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Christiana Baptist Church with Bro. Bob Bain and Bro. Buford Gaines officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Mr. Phillips passed away Friday, February 14, 2014, at Trinity Medical Center in Birmingham. Born in Cleburne County, he was raised in the Shinbone Community before moving to Delta where he lived for most of his life. Mr. Phillips worked for Ace Products for over 23 years in the maintenance department. He had attended Christiana Baptist Church and Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church and was a Mason. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Y. Phillips, of the Folsom Community; one daughter, Cindy Pettis (David), of Lineville; one son, Matthew Phillips, of Lineville; one stepson, Brandon Knight (Victoria), of Oxford; four brothers, John Phillips, of Heflin, Cecil Phillips, of Hollis Crossroads, Nathan Phillips (Linda), of Delta and Roger Phillips (Ramona), of Delta; two half-sisters, Katie Mae Turner, of Heflin and Myrtle Barnwell (James), of Delta; two grandchildren, Michael Pettis and Lauren Phillips. Mr. Phillips was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Maxfield Phillips and Beatrice Buttram Phillips; two sons, Sidney and Jason Phillips and one half-sister, Eulene Phillips. Pallbearers will be Nathan Phillips, Roger Phillips, Cecil Phillips, Michael Pettis, David Phillips, Danny Phillips and John Phillips.
