Funeral service for Billie Jean Turner, 85, will be Monday at 3 p.m. at United Fellowship Baptist Church with the Rev. Daniel Harper, the Rev Tommy Reaves and the Rev. Harold Payne officiating. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Survivors include her children, Danny Turner (Amy), Gloria Turner, Cathy Strickland Turner (Jerry), Pam Vinson (Rickey), Ricky Turner (Alisa), Libby Bonds (Gary) and Lisa Whaley (Jody); grandchildren, Lindsey Douglas, Sarah Turner, Devonna Strickland, Chad Vinson, Austin Turner, Will Turner, Jamie Toney, Kyle Bonds; great-grandchildren, Dylan Vinson, Hunter Vinson, Chase Vinson, Chloe Douglas, Cason Douglas, Levi Toney, Evan Toney and Jeremiah Turner and siblings, Nelda Lane Phillips, Sue Angel (Eugene), Haskel Pritchett (Eileen) and Kerri Ann Cheek. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Turner; her parents, Ruth Pritchett Leath and John Caleb (JC) Pritchett and her brother, Jack Pritchett. Pallbearers will be Chad Vinson, Kyle Bonds, Austin Turner, Will Turner, Dylan Vinson, Hunter Vinson and Chase Vinson. Mrs. Turner was a member of United Fellowship Baptist Church and attended Harvest Church for many years. She served as a pianist in many churches and shared her talents by playing for services at nursing homes. She was active as a Pink Lady at RMC for over 20 years. She was a loving wife and her greatest joy in life was her children and she considered them her angels from God.
