The funeral service for Mrs. Billie Jean Wright Taylor, 64, will be at 11 a.m. today, March 4, 2017, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Taylor passed away on March 1, 2017 in Ohatchee. Mrs. Taylor was a lover of all animals. She was a loving and devoted military wife. Mrs. Taylor was also the best mom and a best friend to her children. She loved people and enjoyed all of the friendships she made. Her friends and family will always remember how funny she was and how she loved to laugh and enjoy a good joke. Mrs. Taylor was blessed to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had served as counselor in the Relief Society. Her grandsons will always remember her attending all of their after school activities. Mrs. Taylor had volunteered as Cub Scout leader, Girl Scout leader and Cheerleader coach when her children were young. Mrs. Taylor served her community as a member of both the Ohatchee and Mt. Olive Volunteer Fire Departments. Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her parents, William Harold and Ora Jean Lombardi Wright, and a sister, Linda Wright. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Cecil Taylor; a daughter, Linda Taylor (Sean); a son, Michael Taylor (Mary); three grandchildren, Terence Nielsen, Jordan Taylor and Christopher Taylor; a sister, Rosemary Wright; a brother, John Wright (Becky); numerous nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be David Rollins, Keith Crider, Dalton Crider, John Wright, Jordan Taylor and Sean Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Christopher Taylor, Shawn Williams and Terence Nielsen. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to The League for Animal Welfare, 2726 Bynum Leatherwood Road, Anniston, AL 36201.
