Billy "Joe" Freeman, U.S. Army SP/E5, 70, died May 23, 2017 at the VA hospital in Spokane, Washington, where he lost his final battle to cancer due to Agent Orange exposure during the Vietnam War. Joe leaves behind two brothers; four children; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and many other relatives. Special thanks to Hennessey funeral home and the VA hospice staff in Spokane, whom provided excellent care and love in his final days. Joe's daughters, Norma Jean and Nancy Jean, were both with him during his last four weeks up to his final moments. His service was held June 2, 2017 at the VA Cemetery in Medical Lake, Wash., where he received a full military honors funeral ceremony. He will be missed by all who knew him.
