Funeral service, with full military honors, for TSGT Billy John Dunn, USAF Retired, 81, will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 3, 2017, at Upper Cane Creek Church with the Rev. Chuck Jaggers officiating. Burial will follow in Upper Cane Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, February 3, 2017 from 1-2 p.m. at Upper Cane Creek Church. TSGT Dunn was a native of Cleburne County and served his country for 20 years in the United States Air Force. His achievements include, NDSM - National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Republic Vietnam Commendation Medal, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with one Oak Leaf Cluster, Small Arms Expert Marksman Ribbon, Air Force Good Conduct Medal four Oak Leaf Clusters, and Air Force Commendation Medal with one Oak Leaf Cluster. He is survived by his wife, Chiyo Yano Dunn, of Heflin; Raymond Dunn and his wife, Pam, of Helena, Joyce Cappellano, of Allen, Texas; two grandchildren, Corey Dunn and Stephanie Cappellano. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Lee Dunn and Eunice Parker Dunn; a sister, Glema Dunn Ray, and brothers, Grover Dunn, Gordon Dunn, and Russell Dunn. Dryden Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
