Billy Ray Jones, 44, passed away on December 23, 2016. Billy was born on January 27, 1972 in Ohio, the son of Perry and Clara Jones. He lived most of his life in Calhoun County. Billy later moved to Pensacola, Florida with his late wife, Kimberly Jones to enjoy time in the sun. Billy was well known for his outgoing character and love for motorcycles. None the less, he was a Harley-Davidson kind of guy! While in Florida, he kept his toes in the sand and a smile on his face. To top off the hot rod bikes and great tan, Billy had a passion for music. He was well versed with numerous instruments and blessed with a voice to carry the tunes. After enjoying life in the sunshine state, Billy and Kimberly moved back to Alexandria to settle down. Billy was employed by Camping World as a RV technician. He had an outstanding reputation for his willingness to help others, no matter the situation. Billy was very hardworking and to say, "he would give you the shirt off of his back" would be an understatement. Billy was also known to be the "cool" PawPaw. He loved his children and grandchildren unconditionally. Billy sported a large Harley-Davidson emblem tattooed on his left bicep. The emblem contained top to bottom; Josh, Harley-Jones and Shasta, the names of his children. Billy is survived by his parents, Perry and Clara, of Ballplay; his sisters, Trina and Kitty; his children (son) Joshua Jones (fiance, Kaylea Whitmore); daughters, Harley Brooks (husband, Tim Brooks), Shasta Murphy (husband, Tyler Murphy), and step-children, Chris Bean, Kayleigh Somers and Nathan Somers. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, distant family, and friends. Billy preceded his wife, Kimberly Jones in death on December 24, 2016. A memorial service will be held at Wellington First Baptist Church in Wellington on Thursday, December 29, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Wellington First Baptist Church, located at 826 Wellington Road, Wellington, Alabama 36279. www.millerfuneralhomeoxford.com Miller Funeral Home & Crematory Oxford, AL (256)831-4611 A Brown Service Authorized Funeral Home Chosen #1 funeral home by the readers of The Anniston Star for 7 years
