Funeral service for Billy Wayne Dickerson, 56, will be Monday, December 28, 2015 at 2 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jesse Barksdale officiating. Burial will follow at Monger Cemetery in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6-8 p.m. Mr. Dickerson passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at RMC in Anniston. Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Karen Dickerson, of Piedmont; two daughters, Cassie (Adam) Buse, of Jacksonville and Lisa Dickerson; two sons, Jody Taylor, of Union City, Michigan and Joseph Taylor, of Piedmont; grandchildren, Hali and Amber Taylor and Kaley and Joshua Buse, all of Jacksonville, Breanna and Brandon Taylor, of Heflin, Skylar Taylor, of Union City, Michigan and Jacob Taylor, of Washington; two sisters, Tina (Joseph) Spears and Tammy Dickerson, all of Jacksonville; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Brandy Turner, of Jacksonville. Pallbearers will be Adam Buse, Joseph Spears, Jason Spears, Kevin Dickerson, Craig Chandler and Jamie Wright. After retirement from printing t-shirts, Mr. Dickerson devoted his time to being a great husband, dad, grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Elizabeth Wilkes Dickerson; one brother, Jimmy Dickerson.
