Funeral service for Bishop Jimmy D. Marks, 64, will be on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at 11 a.m. at the Refuge Full Gospel Methodist Church with Elder Benjamin L. Little officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. Bishop Marks passed away on December 20, 2016 at Jacksonville Health and Rehabilitation. Bishop Marks's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to his service. A wake will be this evening 6 - 8 p.m. at the Russell H. Williams Memorial Chapel. Bishop Marks was educated in the Bruce, Ms School System. He served in the United States Army and retired as Sgt. 1st Class in 1987. He graduated from Gadsden State, Midwest Christian College and Birmingham Easonian Baptist Bible College. Survivors included his wife, the Rev. Mable Marks; his children, Alein Roden, Major Paul W. (Bridgett) Roden III and Dorina Roden; grandchildren, Justin Roden, Darrius Rodgers, Braxton Roden, Brookyn Roden, Kayla and Kayleen Taylor; siblings, Elder D.V. (Lisa) Marks, Leslie W. Marks, Edna C. (Robert) Crockett, Cathy (Archie Jr.) Bailey; in-laws, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dhue and Lorraine Burns Marks; brother, Edward Lewis Marks; parents-in-law, Tom and Martha L. Story. Anniston Funeral Service Rev. Jeffrey C.
