Funeral service for Bobby G. Gibble, 63, will be today, May 2, 2017, 7 p.m. in the chapel of Miller Funeral Home. The family will receive friends this evening from 5 until service time at the funeral home. Mr. Gibble passed away on Friday at Regional Medical Center. Survivors include his wife, Sonja Gibble; sons, Michael Zimmermann (Robin), Bobby Gibble; sisters, Cathy Shelton, Barbara Butner; grandchildren, Shawn Zimmermann, Tony Zimmermann, Abby Zimmermann, and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Gibble was a native of North Carolina. Mr. Gibble was retired from the U.S. Army as a Sergeant First Class. He was the recipient of the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2nd Award), Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, (6th Award), National Defense Service Medal With Bronze Service Star, NCO Professional Development Ribbon (3rd Award), Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), Expert Infantryman Badge, and Drill Sergeant Identification Badge. Mr. Gibble had been an employee of Lowes since 1992. He was very avid and successful as a hunter and fisherman. Miller Funeral Home 256-831-4611
