Claremore, OK- SFC Bobby M. Rogers, 70, died unexpectedly, otherwise in good health, at his Round Rock, Texas home on December 31, 2017. Bobby M. Rogers to many was also known as Bob, Butch, Coach, Bobby, Sarge, or Mr. Rogers. No matter what name you know him as, he influenced our lives in many ways. Bobby was known and loved for many of his stories. Bob was born in Claremore, Oklahoma on February 1, 1947. He graduated from Claremore High School in 1965. He then graduated in 1967 as the last graduating class of the Oklahoma Military Academy which is now known as Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma. Bobby enlisted in the United States Army on January 13, 1969; coincidently, the same day he married Joyce Ann Stude. He completed basic training at Fort Polk, Louisiana to move on to AIT at Fort Gordon, Georgia. He served his country faithfully while on multiple tours of duty in Germany, Korea, North Carolina, Texas, and Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents Alonzo and Gertrude Rogers, his sister Delores, his brothers Alonzo Jr., and Dwight, his sister Betty Bailey and his daughter Melanie Marie. He is survived by his wife Joyce Rogers, son Donovan Rogers, daughter Natasha Jones; grandchildren Darion, Elisa, Elijah, Mark and Daniel; Sister Netta Rogers; brothers Tommy Rogers, Charles Rogers and Roger Rogers. Memorial Service: 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 13, 2018, New Harvest Christian Church, 3511 Alexandria Rd., Anniston, AL. Military rites and interment were held Wednesday, January 10, 2018 in Ft.
