Funeral service for Brenda Joyce Manning "BJ" 68, will be on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1 pm at the Word Alive International Church with Pastor Kent Mattox, officiating. Interment will follow in Anniston Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Manning passed away on January 12, 2018. Mrs. Manning's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. A wake will be this evening 5 -7 at the Chapel. She graduated from Cobb Avenue High School in 1967 and from Tuskegee University in 1971. She was the branch manager at Carver Library and retired in 2011 after 22 years of service. Survivors include her husband: Rev. Curtis Manning; her children: Monica Manning, Michelle Manning, Maria Manning and Marcus Manning; grandchildren: Shaundrika (Recko) Davis, Shaye Manning, Breaunna J. Matthews, Montrel Manning; 5 great grandchildren; siblings: Allene Bailey (Joe), Clara Roberts (Tom), Constance Askew (James), Charles Whatley (Marilyn) and Gregory Whatley, in-laws, other relatives and friends.
