Funeral service for Buddy Lynn Powers, 47, will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 2, 2014, at Word Alive International Outreach in Coldwater. Officiating will be Pastors Kent and Dan Mattox. The family will receive friends at the church from 11-1 Friday. Buddy departed this life April 29, 2014, to begin his new life with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Buddy was a native and lifelong resident of Munford and retired from Honeywell Aerospace in 2002. Buddy was a loving and wonderful husband, father and friend to many. Very much a family man, he enjoyed 18 years of marriage and watching his children grow up and play sports. He loved camping, fishing and spending time with his friends and family. Buddy was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie Nixon (Mother) and Jerry Powers (father), of Munford. Buddy is survived by his wife, Tonya Powers; One son, Dakota Powers and one daughter Cheyenne Powers; his grandmother Bernice Johnson. Also, an abundance of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Many thanks to Dr. Michael Sesay and his staff, Michelle Ponder and Staff at RMC Radiodioly and RMC Ambulatory care staff for many years outstanding care.
