Buena Parker Haile, 97, passed away peacefully with family present on January 7, 2017, in Sun City, Las Vegas, Nev. She was born in Anniston to William E Parker, a former Calhoun County Sheriff, and Maggie Dothard. Buena was the eleventh of fourteen Parker children and family was everything. Her eldest brother, James Parker, was a WW II major general, the first Army Air Corps general officer from Calhoun county. Buena was married to Col. James Haile, of Cedartown, Ga., for 69 years. She is survived by her son and his wife, Jim and Sandra Haile, of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter and her husband, Dr. Jill and Dr Ken Hunter, of Vacaville, Calif. In addition, she is survived by, and was very proud of her four successful grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She will be missed by her extended family in Alabama and her many friends
