Funeral service for Carolyn Harvy Mays, 60, will be on Monday, July 20, 2015, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Ronnie C. Beavers, pastor, the Rev. Micheal Scales, officiating and Mia Vasser, eulogist. Interment will follow in Anniston Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Mays passed away on July 14, 2015. Mrs. Mays's remains will arrive at the church one hour prior to her service. A wake will be this evening at the Russell H. Williams Memorial Chapel from 5 - 7 p.m. Mrs. Mays graduated 1972 from Marion County High School in Buena Vista, Ga. and Georgia College in 1976 with a Nursing Degree. Survivors include her son, Joshua Mays, of Anniston; stepson, Guila Mays, of Spring Hill, Tenn.; siblings, Joseph Harvey (Lanell), of Jonesboro, Ga., Harry Harvey (Annie), of Summerville, Ga., Ronnie Harvey (Sabrina), of Buena Vista, Ga., Rex Harvy (Kathy), of Cusseta, Ga., Janice Munford, of Ellaville, Ga., Gwen Seldon, of Stone Mountain, Ga.; brothers-in-law, Willie Mays (Patricia), of Anniston, Anthony Mays, of Minot, N.D. and Abdur-Rahim Shaheed, of Atlanta, Ga.; sisters-in-law, Carla Harvey, of Jonesboro, Ga., Noretha Murphy (Paul), of College Park, Ga., Karen Calhoun, of Anniston, Sandra Bradford, of Riverdale, Ga. and other relatives and friends.
