Funeral service for Carolyn Janell Comer, 79, will be Sunday, March 1, 2015, at 3 p.m. at K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with Dr. Deryl Wood officiating. Burial will be in Post Oak Springs Baptist Cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday at the funeral home from 1 - 3 p.m. prior to service. Mrs. Comer went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 26, 2015. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Holley "Lynwood" Comer Sr. of Saks; her daughter, Angie (Marshall) Harvey, of Jacksonville; her son, Holley "Lynn" (Terri) Comer Jr., of Anniston; four grandchildren, Tabitha (Jarred) Slaton, of Jacksonville, Adam (Anne) Harvey, of Jacksonville, Stephanie (Jeremy) Buchanan, of Weaver and Ashley (Jeff) Thompson, of Alexandria; eight great-grandchildren, Cammie, Colby, Andrew, Hunter, Emma, McKinlee, Parker and Becca Kate; one brother, Gordon (Debbie) Morris, of Jacksonville and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Adam Harvey, Colby Gaines, Jeremy Buchanan, Jeff Thompson, Eric Morris and Ricky Comer. Mrs. Comer was a lifetime member of Post Oak Springs Baptist Church and she faithfully served her Lord. She loved to cook and spend time with her family. Mrs. Comer was a loving and devoted wife, mother and "Grandma". Mrs. Comer was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Morris. Online condolences to the family at K.L.
