Jacksonville - Funeral service for Mrs. Carrie Elizabeth "Big Sis" Parker, 83, will be Friday, February 8, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the K.L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel in Jacksonville with the Rev. Ted Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mrs. Parker died on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at Jacksonville Health and Rehab. She is survived by her husband, Thomas L. Parker, of Jacksonville; three daughters, Shirel Jean Smith, of San Francisco, Calif., Shelia Auzenne and her husband, Martin, of San Francisco, Calif. and Tredia and her husband, John, of Santa Rosa, Calif.; four sons, Saul E. Atkins and his wife, Paulette, of Jamaica, N.Y., Fernandices Parker, of Sacramento, Calif., Thomas L. Parker Jr. and his wife, Betty, of Jacksonville and Victor D. Parker and his wife, Corvette, of Anniston; one sister, Barbara A. Lomax, of San Francisco, Calif.; one brother, Thomas Lomax and his wife, Kim, of San Francisco, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Sabrina, Billy, Jr., Carmen, Kenneth, Aresha, Sylvan and Bernard; seven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Pallbearers will be members of the family. Mrs. Parker attended Murray's Temple in Anniston and was dedicated to working in her church and serving her Lord. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Jacksonville Health and Rehab for the continued care for their loving wife, mother and grandmother.
