A funeral service for Ms. Charlene James, 78, will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center Chapel with Brother Randall Reynolds officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Jacksonville from 1 - 2 p.m. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Ms. James died on Friday, August 12, 2016, at Anniston RMC. Ms. James is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Speedy) Miller and Diane James; two sons, Christopher (Jeannette) James and Donald James; four sisters, Agnes Roberson, Virgie "Dolly" (John) Smithhart, Vernice (Joe) Few and Brenda (Joe) Groover; two brothers, Bobby (Linda) Crocker and Joe (Ona) Crocker; five grandchildren, Shaunda (Richard) James, Lisa (Tony) Canter, Lora (David) Miller, Jonathan (Jeannette) James and Michael James; numerous nieces, and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jonathan James, Tony Canter, Michael James, Leroy Miller, Rick Powell and David King. Ms. James was a loving mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was also a military housewife. She was preceded in death by her parents, Vernor and Edna Crocker; her husband, Jessie Millard James; and a brother, Charles W.
